Brazil is a tropical country, but due to its grandness in size, climates vary from each region.  The months of May through to October are usually considered the winter months; however these months are the most popular months to visit most parts of the country, particularly April to June and August to October. 




The time of the Carnival is another extremely popular time to go, but do bear in mind that this time is right smack-bang in the middle of the hottest, and wettest, time of year (February).  Also, from Dec-Feb is the national holiday season which may mean that hotels, planes and buses be fully booked.
