The most popular time to visit Colombia is in the dry season. Most parts of the country are still accessable in the wet season, except during periods of heavy rain. Problems caused by excessive rain are generally only experienced in the lowland jungle regions. Most Colombian’s take their holidays during late December and January. During this period, particularly in the major towns and cities there is a party atmosphere and public transport is more crowded.
