Sucre is one of the most interesting and fascinating cities in South America.  The capital of Bolivia is a very safe city and a fun college town with a great nightlife.  Those choosing to study Spanish in Sucre will improve their Spanish language ability and also have the opportunity to work in a volunteer project  in Bolivia. The school offers very personalized and flexible Spanish programs, which can be adjusted to meet each student’s specific needs.  Upon arrival, students take assessment tests to determine their Spanish level and address their exact needs.  All teachers have a minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching Spanish.  They construct highly specialized programs to ensure individuals’ objectives are met and offer both private and group classes consisting of 2-6 students.  All classes meet for 4 hours each day and emphasize on conversation Spanish, as well as grammar, audio, writing and reading.  Students can pick various locations to study other than the school, including; parks, town squares, markets, cafes, colonial ruins and more.  In addition to traditional classes, the school also offers medical and business Spanish lessons.

Volunteer Program

Spanish program Students have the opportunity to enhance their Spanish education if they choose to volunteer in Bolivia. Currently, teaching, nursing, child daycare, elderly and disabled care and construction work are the programs most needing volunteers. The school can arrange those and many more volunteer programs in and around Sucre. Students are placed into programs based on their interests and experiences. An intermediate level of Spanish is highly recommended for all projects.



The school arranges host families and student flats for students while they live in Bolivia.  Guest families offer the maximum learning experience for students because they offer daily Spanish practice and more opportunities to learn about Bolivian culture.  Students are all given private rooms and the homes are never more than a 15 minute walk from the school.  If you are looking for a more independent form of accommodation in Sucre, you can choose to stay in a student flat during your program. These apartments come with fully equipped kitchens and are also within a 15 minute walk from the school.

Activities & Excursions


The Spanish school offers at least two free activities weekly, including; Salsa and Merengue dance lessons, tours around Sucre and towns nearby (Tarabuco, Yotala, 7 waterfalls), parties and barbecues, Bolivian cooking classes, bike tours, quizzes and learning-games.  There are many other attractions in the area which are highly recommended to visit.  The school can help arrange a variety of excursions in Bolivia for students through local agencies.
