Spanish School in Cusco, Peru

Why Should I Study Spanish Here?

Our Spanish school in Cusco (Peru) offers Spanish classes combined with a full immersion in Peruvian culture the city of Cusco, at 3400 meters above sea level. The medium sized school is located in a nice building at a 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, the central square in the Andean city of Cusco, full of trendy restaurants, nice cafes and bars, souvenir shops, churches, museums and important Inca walls.

Spanish Program

Spanish Program

The Spanish school in Cusco is known for its interactive, communicative and personal teaching. The groups are small, so the teachers are able to give a lot of personal attention to all the students that come from all over the world to study Spanish here.  While most students participate in the group program, there are many other options: affordable private instruction, medical Spanish, Spanish for families and children, Spanish and rafting or trekking, and Spanish and yoga.If you are interested in the Inca culture and history of ancient Peru you can also take a few classes of the Quechua language, or book the Inca Civilization course.

Volunteer Program

Volunteer Program

This school is one of the pioneers in offering Spanish and volunteer programs in Peru and they have many years of experience and a full time volunteer coordinator. The program provides the opportunity to live and work in Peru and cultivate a superior level of Spanish. Many different placements are offered with local projects such as NGO’s, orphanages, cultural organizations, schools, hospitals and others. The school supports all projects financially through a system of donations.

The students can choose to stay with a local Peruvian guest family or to live in the student residence of the school. Living with a Peruvian host family is an unforgettable experience for most students; the local people are very friendly and the students live as if they were a ‘real’ family members. Guest families provide two meals a day: breakfast and lunch – the main meal in Peru. Obviously, a homestay provides good practice of the Spanish language for the students!

For those who prefer to live in the city center with other students in a more international setting, we recommend the student residence, located in the same building as the Spanish school.  The residence has 15 rooms, a common kitchen, shared toilets and bathrooms, a small common room and a lovely sunny terrace with great views!  There are two meals included here, breakfast and a home-made lunch with local, fresh ingredients. A great choice.

Activities & Excursions

activities and excursions

The school offers possibilities to explore cultural and social experiences that will complement your Spanish classes every day - take a walking tour, learn Latin dance, watch a movie presentation or participate in a cooking class. Also, students are recommended to pursue their other interests and explore all that Peru has to offer! The school can help arrange a variety of excursions and tours in Peru. It is definitely recommendable to combine your Spanish program in Lima with a trip to Machu Picchu near Cusco, and maybe even participate in the Inca Trail!
