Brazil has an endless coastline and perfect beaches providing you numerous opportunities to spend some time catching waves on surfboards, kite boards or traditional “jangada” sailing boats. In addition, the neighbouring Ceará coast is littered with fishing villages, tropical beaches and expansive sand dunes. One of the most well known of these is Jericoacoara, a small fishing village far removed from the hurried pace of modern life.

Beaches are not the only natural wonder that Brazil has to offer. Brazil’s immense size means that it is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world and it has an astounding variety of environments for you to explore. Brazil is a paradise for wildlife lovers offering mountain ranges, plains, highlands and rivers and of course the world famous Amazon Rainforest.

One of the most ecologically diverse areas of Brazil is in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the South, go on an wonderful excursion to Pantanal which is one of the world's largest wetlands. This area supports a huge variety of animal and plant life.

Apart from the Pantanal, the area surrounding the small town of Bonito is also a fantastic place for wildlife spotters. When you visit Bonito you can find yourself transported away from the hordes of tourists to beautiful rainforest areas with hundreds of waterfalls, lakes and rivers of crystal clear blue water, over 80 dry and flooded caves, and species of fish and other wildlife.

In the south of Brazil one of the Jewels of Brazilian nature are the Iguazu Falls. You won’t be disappointed when you visit and experience these powerful forces of nature. These Falls undoubtedly belong to the top travel destinations in the world. Where else can you take a boat underneath the falls themselves? Prepare to be soaked and make sure you take an extra set of clothes.

Rio Branco
Salvador de Bahia
Home to some 16 miles of beaches in the region, Fortaleza is a beautiful and popular destination for travellers in Brazil. The region enjoys a tropical climate that is almost unrivalled, only experiencing wet months at the beginning of each year. Our 9 day tour and 12 day tour of the local area includes the Lençois National Park and ends in Fortaleza.
National Park
We have two options to venture through the beautiful Lençois Maranhenses National Park. Our 9 day tour starts in São Luís and then visits the Lençois National Park and the Deltas das Americas, where you will see monkeys, snakes, caimans and some beautiful birds. Alternatively, our 12 day tour adds 3 days in Jericoacoara, a small fishing village with the most beautiful beaches in Brazil.
São Luis
If you plan to start your Brazil trip in the beautiful São Luís, we have two options. Our 9 day tour visits the Lençois National Park and the Deltas das Americas, among other places, where you are sure to see a large range of wildlife. Otherwise a 12 day tour does all this plus 3 days in Jericoacoara, one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. São Luís itself is a beautiful site, with the historical centre having been made a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.
The Brazilian Pantanal is one of the largest wetlands on the planet. This mix of rivers, covered forest and freshwater lakes is a popular site for wildlife explorers, who flood to the Pantanal to witness the mix of 100 different mammals (like anteaters and monkeys), 80 types of reptiles (such as caimans, lizards and even some unclassified invertebrates) and around 700 birds (such as eagles, toucans and macaws). This is the wildlife destination of a lifetime.
There are several popular tours available in and around the Bonito area. The Rio da Prata (The Silver River) offers some of the best snorkelling around, boasting great sea life, fantastically clear water and a great lunch. Other tours allow you to walk through the jungle canopy, or visit the Gruta do Lago Azul to see one of the world's biggest flooded caves.
Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro is known to bes one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and having been you will experience saudade, a longing to return. The view from Cristo Redentor at sunset is stunning, as is the view from the Pao de Açucar, down on the waterfront. Experience real samba on a Friday night in the Lapa District, or do as the cariocas do and head to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, where the locals go to see and be seen.
São Paulo
The largest city in Brazil, São Paulo also has a lot to offer. It is a cultural centre and home to Ibirapuera Park, a beautiful park full of fountains, Modern Art Museum and a planetarium. Other popular sites include the Zoo with a particularly good reptile and bird section, and the Serra da Cantareira, home to natural rock caverns and routes that offer panoramic views of the city.
The Brazilian side of the Iguaçú Falls offers the best panoramic views of this natural wonder of the world. Tours leave from both sides of the border. The Argentine side allows visitors to get up close and personal with the Garganta del Diablo, or Devil's throat. This Iguazu bus tour, starting in Buenos Aires, offers a full day on the Argentinian side, and a half day on the Brazilian side.
