Maras/ Moray
This is an excellent tour to do in one day, combining Andean landscapes, archaeological sites, local culture and traditional villages. And it’s all downhill!
Moray has four circular terraces formed into the earth like an artificial crater and was probably used as an agricultural research station by the Incas. The salt mines at Salineras, near to Maras, are some of the most important salt mines in the region. Distance: 45 km.
Pata Cancha – Willoq – Ollantaytambo
At approximately 9am we take a public bus to Ollantaytambo, and then another to Patacancha. From this point we will begin to cycle towards Willoq (a small village that conserves the Inca traditions). We continue downhill towards Ollantaytambo and then return to Cusco. Distance: 65 km.
