THE PROJECT

Copán is a small yet beautiful village located in the Honduras, near the border of Guatemala. Volunteers of this project will have the amazing opportunity to work in the reforestation of different areas of Copán in order to protect water sources and help preserve the natural environment in general.


YOUR ROLE AS A VOLUNTEER

As a volunteer you will help with various activities including: creating seed nurseries, planting trees in uninhabited areas, creating organic compost, constructing nature trails, and helping with fertilizing in various plantations.


WHAT THE PROJECT NEEDS

  • Volunteers with all levels of Spanish*
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Motivated individuals with strong initiative
  • Commitment and dedication to the project
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic
  • Minimum commitment recommended is 4 weeks

*Volunteers who have no knowledge of Spanish will do as well with this project as those who have a more advanced knowledge of the language. However it is recommended to take some Spanish classes at the local Spanish school prior to commencing your volunteer work in order to communicate better with the locals as this will greatly enrich your experience on this project.
