This project is located in the suburbs of Lima in a neighbourhood called Ventanilla. Here young people are taught to be responsible citizens and learn to live and cooperate as one body despite different beliefs and political opinions. The young people at this project participate in after-school programs with a focus on education, socialization, recreation and creativity.

As a volunteer there are various projects you can participate in:

  • Early Stimulation Program (from April until December)

Volunteers with this project work between 1 and 2 hours per day in the morning helping to arrange educational activities. This program is organized for children between the ages of 2 and 5 and there are usually 15-25 children per classroom.

  • Educational  Program “Learn while teaching” (from April until November)

Volunteers with this program work 1 to 2 hours per day in the afternoons helping with educational activities that compliment what the children learn in school. Educational activities that you may participate in include workshops in sports, cultural exchange, behaviour, and new skills.

  • Social Activities (always as compliment on one of the above programs)

There are various activities that will be done in conjunction with your other volunteer work each month; educational and creative workshops such as drawing, painting and theatre are in place to help teach morals and values to children who have been abandoned or live in children communities or centres.

  • Social  Program “Learn in summer” (dates to be advised)

Volunteers work to help set up activities for children and adolescents to make effective use of their free time during the summer break.

  • International Work Camp

Volunteers will teach young people from around the world about their own culture as well as about their own during a 21 day camp full of educational and cultural workshops. This camp usually consists of between 15 to 20 young people from around the world that join together to help improve the life of young people.

As a volunteer, you will work with boh the “Early Stimulation Program”, and the “Educational Program”, working a couple of hours in the morning and in the afternoon.
